CAN Input Module The CAN Input Module is equipped with two passive CAN bus connections for third-party sensors without automatic sensor detection (third-party CAN). In addition, this slot offers the option of connecting the PPC- PAD to an existing CAN BUS network using the SAE J1939 protocol for the purpose of reading messages from other CAN bus nodes. This can be the bus of a vehicle or machine, for example. The CAN module is passive and cannot be detected by other CAN masters.
